NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- PepsiCo Inc. /quotes/comstock/13*!pep/quotes/nls/pep (PEP 64.91, +0.02, +0.03%) said Tuesday Chief Financial Officer Richard Goodman will be succeeded at the end of March by Hugh Johnston, 48, who currently works as executive vice president of PepsiCo Global Operations. Johnston joined the company in 1987. He left the company in 1999 and rejoined it in 2002. The Purchase, N.Y.-based drinks and snack giant said Goodman, 61, had planned to step down from his current position at age 62. Goodman became PepsiCo CFO in 2006. "He has helped to successfully steer the company through the global economic crisis and to complete major acquisitions, including the purchase of PepsiCo's two largest bottlers last month," the company said. (Updated to correct the spelling of Hugh Johnston's name.)
