China property prices up for ninth month

HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Property prices in Chinese cities were up 10.7% in February from a year earlier, and up 0.9% from January, according to a published report Wednesday citing government data. February's gains marked the ninth straight month of year-on-year gains in urban property prices, according to a gauge that tracks price movements in 70 large and medium-sized Chinese cities, Dow Jones Newswires reported, citing data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
